Meetings in Berlin on 26 April 2016 with VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry) and the German Ministry of Transport
On Tuesday, 26 April 2016 the board of the TIV, completely represented by Michael Jursch, Dr. Uwe Meyer und Gunnar Bregler, attended two important meetings in Berlin.
During a meeting at the premises of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) at Behrenstraße, the Board of TIV explained the structure and concerns of the new industry association to one of the managing directors of the VDA, Dr. Kay Lindemann, and discussed the possibilities of cooperation on topics that are relevant to both sides.
Subsequently the TIV board had a meeting at the Ministry of Transport with state secretary Mrs Dorothee Bär and high-ranking officials. In the process the points were set for a hearing to be given to the association in relation to future legislative proposals and some of the objectives of the TIV were explained as examples, e.g. a reform of the currently very complicated driving licence regulations, and making it easier to insure trailers.
The meetings took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. They constitute the starting point for a dialogue which the TIV also wants to continually cultivate in the future.
